This variety, which is not considered as a blood orange but its pulp is as red as pulp of Star Ruby, is a navel orange. The fruits are smaller than other lemon varieties of navel oranges. The rind thickness is thinner than other varieties of navel oranges.
An evergreen tree (Citrus aurantium) which is in citrus fruits family of dicotyledonous and of which homeland is India and its spherical or egg-shaped fragrant fruit. Since the orange is a valuable fruit tree, it is widely grown in all warm regions at the present time. Its height is up to 3-4 m, the leaves are solid, upper surfaces are shiny, lower surfaces are hairy and flowers are hermaphrodite.
